This is my first, rather rushed attempt at constructing a Web-based verison of this thesis. It has some very obvious design flaws which would take me far too long to sort out - for now this will have to do. Maybe I'll eventually get around to a more elegant design.
Note - your browser must be capable of displaying HTML tables, in order to view these pages properly. Netscape 1.0 won't do, I'm afraid!
The HTML was cobbled together using a mixture of authoring tools, primarily Microsoft's FrontPage and the Netscape Navigator Gold HTML editor. The whole thing took about 2 days to construct - probably less time than it takes to print the thesis onto paper. As such, the HTML syntax is unlikely to be particularly elegant, and probably contains quite a few Netscape and Microsoft "extensions"... it seems to display all right on Navigator 3 and I.E. 3, but my apologies if it looks lousy on anything else.
Since some of the pages are very graphical, I recommend that you allow the whole page to finish downloading before scrolling down through the text.Please let me know of any cock-ups, swathes of missing text, out-of-synch tables etc. I haven't had time to proofread this fully yet.
